From April 3 to October 31 2026, missing scenes will release one song every week. This thematic series is inspired by the dark literature and strange stories I’ve cherished over the years, including works by authors like King, Oates, Crace, Wharton, Langan, Du Bois, Wehunt, Dick, Enriquez, Lovecraft, Ligotti, and many others who inhabit that unsettling space between beauty and dread. Each track stands alone, yet together they form a gradual descent into the weird, haunted, and the quietly wrong.

Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s “The Yellow Wallpaper”
“There are things in that paper that nobody knows but me, or ever will.”
Charlotte Perkins Gilman’s “The Yellow Wallpaper” audiobook, expertly narrated by Linda Jones, and with a score by missing scenes, arrives April 29, 2025 on Bandcamp and wherever you stream audiobooks. Saprophial who is responsible for the cover artwork, created the best interpretation of the room and wallpaper I have ever seen.
A one time pressing on lathe cut yellow marble vinyl is also available for preorder (just one copy remains as of this writing). Disc 1 contains the audiobook with score, and disc 2 the isolated score. Paul Stolp honored me by providing the liner notes which will be included with the pressing. I couldn’t be happier with how this record turned out.

dream or memory?
A new full length missing scenes work is coming January 10, 2025. The brilliant colors and magical realism that make up Akira Kurosawa’s Dreams provided inspiration for dream or memory? A quarter of a century since I first saw the film, scenes from Dream’s vignettes still appear to me, unbidden, but never unwelcome. Peach orchard, kitsune wedding, watermill village, Van Gogh’s crows…the rich tapestry of Dreams is mirrored in dream or memory’s? sonic vignettes exploring my love of nature, darkness, light and the importance I assign to memory, sleep…and dreaming.
The lead off title track is now streaming everywhere.

missing scenes’ Robert Osgood
I recently had the opportunity to chat with Sean Victory (Nightmare Frontier & World Hum) at Off Shelf about my latest album, our shared love of Coil, performing live, and The Yellow Wallpaper, which I am working with award-winning audiobook narrator Linda Jones to bring to life.
